KennedyLead Birth Doula and Postpartum Doula

Babies, chickens, plants, OH MY! As a gal constantly on the go, these three words probably best describe what I'm all about.  I live in the outskirts of Covington, Washington where I bond with my plethora of chickens and two emus and continuously expand my ever growing garden.  I recently welcomed my beautiful, baby boy in January 2024.

Ever since my employment as a postpartum patient care technician, I have absolutely loved working with mothers and their newborn babies.  Becoming a registered nurse, however, was not in the cards for me.  I valued the one to one care that made people feel taken care of in every aspect so I became a doula to do just that!

As a birth doula, my goal is to be fully present for my clients and their birth partners so no matter the outcome, they can achieve the best possible experience delivering their baby!  My hope is to make every mother feel successful because, in case you haven't heard, delivering a baby is HARD! Whether you plan to deliver unmedicated, medicated, or have a selective cesarean section, I am here to help prepare and guide you through this transformative part in your lives. I would be overjoyed to share this amazing experience with you so that you can have more than a non-traumatic birth experience; you can have a beautiful memory!

As a postpartum doula, my focus is on nourishment. We nourish our bodies with more than just calories and my passion is to help you feel physically, mentally, and emotionally nourished by promoting healthy sleep, up to date information, beautifully crafted foods and teas in your 4th trimester. You must try my calorie rich zucchini chocolate chip muffins!

My "Special Sauce" is working with Moms who have a high risk for Postpartum depression and anxiety as well as those who have gone through a past traumatic birth or medical experience.  Childbirth is many things, but being scared and frightened shouldn't be among the many emotions you deserve to feel in the process.  My goal is to make you feel safe, informed, and in control of the care you receive.

My experience includes over five years of working in a postpartum hospital ward where I was exposed to countless tips, tricks, skills, and information in caring for a newborn and assisting new moms.  I have racked up a total of 20 hours in state approved lactation education that make me an excellent resource when it comes to achieving that first latch with your baby.  I started my doula work  at the end of 2021 and have attended so many amazing births so far! I am a certified birth doula with DONA International.

Being quite the book worm, I am an avid reader of all topics and authors! I am located in Black Diamond, Washington and have had the pleasure of working in healthcare since 2019 first as a CNA then as an EMT and now as a Doula to King county, Pierce county, and Snohomish county. I enjoy challenging myself and I am always seeking more knowledge and education in this line of work and the medical field.

As a birth doula, I firmly believe that nature has provided us with a bounty of resources to help nourish, sustain and heal us throughout our lives including pregnancy, birth, and postpartum recovery. I believe birth is a natural process and that your body knows how to birth your baby.

My "Special Sauce" is that I have spent the last 8 years of my life growing as an herbalist and learning all that I can about the natural remedies that the earth has gifted us. My goal is to use the knowledge that I have obtained on this continuous journey to benefit and support both parents and baby during this incredible experience of delivering new life.

As a postpartum doula, my passion is using my herbal background to create medicinal salves, sprays, creams, and teas to aid in your healing process. I prioritize safety for your little one and work hard to encourage rest for mom and baby.

My experience started very personal with members of my family who were welcoming their little ones into the world. I was so honored to be a part of the process and have since expanded my services to offer to you and your growing family.
